Man Dies In Horse-Drawn Cart Accident

Gardaí in Bray have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road accident involving a horse drawn cart at 20:15 on Wednesday night.

It is believed that a man, aged 44, was travelling along Red Lane, Calary, Kilmacanogue on a horse drawn cart when he fell from the cart.

He was taken by ambulance to St. Vincent's University Hospital in Dublin where he later died. There was no other persons on the cart at the time.

The scene has been preserved and Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will carry out an investigation of the area. Diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was travelling on Red Lane, Calary (this is the road from Sugarloaf car park towards the N11) on the evening of 12 August 2015 to contact them at Bray Garda Station on 01 - 6665300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.

Second Arrest Made Over Ennis Shooting
A second man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 35-year-old father of two in Limerick early yesterday morning. Gardai investigating the shooting, which occurred on the Ennis Road outside Limerick said this morning they had made a second arrest, this time of a male in his late 20’s.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dublin Shooting Incident
Gardaí investigating a shooting incident outside a west Dublin school have made an arrest. A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested during the course of the search operation in Corduff. He has been detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, where he can be held for up to 72 hours.

Man Arrested Over Gun And Ammunition Seizure
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in an operation targeting organised criminal gangs in the Crumlin area of Dublin. Gardaí from Sundrive Road Garda Station arrested the man on Tuesday, 12 July, shortly after 9pm when they stopped and searched a car and its occupant close to Old County Road and discovered a firearm and ammunition.

Man Questioned Over Fatal Road Crash In Co Mayo
Garda have detained a man in connection with a fatal road crash in Co Mayo on Sunday, 08 May. A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with a van on the N26 at Ballinahaglush at around 3.45pm. A man was arrested and is being detained at Ballina Garda Station.
