Taoiseach Begins Visit To Italy
Taoiseach Enda Kenny has arrived in Italy for a two-day official visit, during which he is due to meet with Italian prime minister, Matteo Renzi.
Mr Kenny arrived today (Thursday) and is due to meet Renzi in Rome tomorrow.
The two are expected to discuss relations between Ireland and Italy, and reinforcing cooperation in a range of areas.
They will also discuss developments in the EU including Greece, migration, and Libya and they will have an exchange of views on policies for growth and jobs.
The Taoiseach will also visit Milan Expo 2016, where Ireland has its own self-built pavilion. The Taoiseach will attend a business breakfast at the Irish Embassy in Rome, with a view to supporting Irish businesses in Italy. The Taoiseach will also visit the headquarters of Italy’s largest medical device distributor, AB Medica, to witness the signing of a contract with an Irish partner.
