100 Tech Jobs Announced For Dublin And Regions

One hundred new jobs are to be created in Dublin, Cork, Waterford and Kildare by Evros Technology.

The company, which currently employes 250 people in the four areas, designs, supplies, implements and supports IT infrastructure for organisations.

It has announced that the new jobs will be created this year and will span technology and administrative positions.

The expansion is being supported by the Department of Jobs through Enterprise Ireland.

The company has announced that it is to establish a new technology hub on Barrow Street in the city. 15 jobs are expected to be created through the expansion of an R&D Centre of Excellence established in Dublin by data solutions company Axway. The move sees the company join a list of other IT and tech firms such as Amazon, Facebook, Google and Linkedin, which have all recently expanded operations in the capital.

Welcoming the news, Fine Gael TD for Dublin Rathdown, Olivia Mitchell, said: "By choosing to locate in Sandyford, Sage, Europe's second largest technology company, will join some of the premier tech companies.
