Ballyfermot Investigation Becomes Murder Enquiry

An investigation into a serious assault in Ballyfermot has become a murder enquiry following the death of a 25-year-old man.

The victim suffered serious injuries in an incident at a house in Palmerstown, Dublin, in the early hours of this morning 09 June 2015.

Garda are continuing to investigate and have renewed a call for witnesses or anyone who was on Kennelsfort Road between 3.30 and 4.00am to contact them at Ballyfermot Garda Station on  01 666 7200.

A man arrested at the scene remains in custody.

Gardai at Ballyfermot Garda Station are seeking the public's help in tracing the whereabouts of 38-year-old Sean Donohoe, who is missing from his home at Sarsfield Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 since the March 3.

Appeal For Information In Ballyfermot Assault Investigation
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses of a serious assault in Ballyfermot in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Garda were called to reports of an alleged assault at a property on Kennelsfort Road, Palmerstown at about 03:45 this morning. Two men were found at the scene and have been taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital.

Intelligence Leads To Drug Seizure
Gardaí have detained four men following an intelligence operation in Co Dublin. Gardaí from the Organised Crime Unit, the National Drug Unit , National Bureau of Criminal Investigation and local units stopped four cars on the Kennelsfort Road, Palmerstown shortly after 9.00pm on Wednesday night.

Three Arrested In Connection With Major Cannabis Seizure
Three men have been arrested in connection with a major cannabis seizure in Dublin. Herbal cannabis worth an estimated €2m was discovered at an industrial unit in Clondalkin. The men, aged 32, 49 and 57, were arrested at the scene are being held at Clondalkin and Ballyfermot Garda Stations.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Money Laundering In Dublin
A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of money laundering in Dublin. Gardaí from the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, supported by the Special Crime Task Force, carried out a number of planned searches in the Islandbridge and Ballyfermot areas on Thursday, 12 January. During the operation, €120,000 in cash was seized.
