Man Arrested After Shots Fired At Property In Dublin

A man has been arrested after shots were fired at a property in Dublin on Friday morning.

Three men are believed have targeted the house on Oranmore Road in Ballyfermot at approximately 10am.

A firearm was also recovered from the scene of the attack.

The man is being detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station.

Sinn Fein Cllr Daithí Doolan said: "I was shocked to hear of yet another gun attack in Ballyfermot. The gun attack on a house in Oranmore Rd put innocent people at risk.

"These attacks are dangerously common. It is unacceptable and those involved should stop. I would encourage anyone with information to contact the Gardaí.

"I have long called for more Gardaí to be stationed in Ballyfermot to tackle the increase in gun crime.
