Man Dies And Woman Critical Following House Fire

A man has died in a house fire in Dublin.

It is understood he was 53 years old.

An elderly woman is in a critical condition at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.

The fire broke out at a house on Sigurd Street in Stoneybatter.

Emergency services attended the incident.

The scene has been sealed off pending a technical examination.

Man Arrested Over Fatal House Fire Released Without Charge
A man arrested in connection with a fatal house fire in Dublin has been released without charge. A 44-year-old man died in the blaze which happened at a property on Oakland's Terrace, Rathgar, at around 3am on Tuesday, 21 August. It is understood the man had escaped from the fire before returning inside and suffered critical injuries.
