Man Arrested In Connection With 1997 Disappearance
Gardaí investigating the disappearance of 17-year-old Ciara Breen in 1997 have arrested a man.
It is understood that the arrest follows information received from two people who contacted detectives last November.
Ciara Breen was reported missing on 13 February, 1997. She was last seen in the early hours of the morning at her home on Bachelors Walk in Dundalk.
Garda have renewed their appeal for anyone with information in relation to Ciara’s disappearance, or who may have seen her on the night or morning that she disappeared, to contact Dundalk Garda Station on 042-9388400, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any garda station.

A search operation is underway in Dundalk by garda investigating the 1997 disappearance of Ciara Breen. Ms Breen was last seen on 13 February, 1997. Dundalk Garda have begun searching "lands in the area". No further information is currently available, but garda said more details will be released later today.

Man Arrested Over Missing Athlone Man
Gardaí investigating the disappearance of 41-year-old Adrian Folan have arrested a man in Galway. Mr Folan has been missing since 03 July when he was last seen in Athlone Town. Garda say that they have arrested a man aged in his 40s as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Mr Folan.

Gardaí in Galway have appealed for help in tracing 19-year-old Finian Varden Kenny, who has been missing since the weekend. Mr Kenny was last seen in the area of Turloughmore, Athenry, Co Galway on Sunday, 10 July 2016. The teenager is described as being 5'9" with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Investigation Launched After Pharmacy Worker Stabbed
An investigation has been launched in Drogheda after a Pharmacy employee was stabbed. Gardaí were called to Scarlet Street shortly before 08:30 on Tuesday morning to reports that an employee had been stabbed. The victim, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, where his condition is described as serious.
