Garda Hunt Armed Robber Who 'Terrorised' Postmistress

Gardaí in Roscommon are searching for a man in connection with an armed robbery at a post office.

Garda said that a masked man entered the Knockcroghery post office at about 15:00 on Saturday, where he threatened a female postmistress with a knife and demanded money.

Officers described the postmistress as being "terrorised" by the robber, who made off with a "small amount of cash".

It is believed that the suspect made off in a blue or silver hatchback car.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and many have witnessed anything to contact them at 090 6638300.
