Investigation Launches After Man Falls To His Death At Mater Hospital

An investigation has been launched into the death of a man who fell from the fifth floor of the Mater Hospital in Dublin on Wednesday morning.

The 40-year-old died after falling into a courtyard at the hospital, on the city's North Circular Road, at about 01:00 in the early hours.

He was found on the ground with extensive head and leg injuries.

It is being reported that the man had a history of mental illness.

Currently, it is not thought that the death is suspicious.

Gardai and the Mater Hospital are carrying out investigations.

The body of a man in his 70s has been discovered in a car, which was concealed by trees, at a roundabout in Galway. The vehicle was seen by a member of the public on the Martin Roundabout on Thursday, 05 November. Gardai attended the scene where he was declared dead.
