DCC Seeks Views On New Bike Hangar

Dublin City Council is seeking opinions on a new "bike hangar", currently being trialled off Francis Street in the south of the city.

The hangar sits in the same space, which is usually taken up by car parking, and can securely hold up to six bicycles. Potential users of the hangar would pay a yearly subscription fee.

The council said it has already received almost 100 responses to the hangar, with 90% being positive.

The trial hangar will used for three months, after which the council will decide whether to extend the scheme.

The trial is being conducted as part of the council's Beta Project.
