Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Accident

Gardaí in Co Wexford have reported the death of a man in a road accident on Sunday afternoon.

A 94-year-old man died in hospital following the crash near Murrintown, Co Wexford, at about 16:45.

It is understood the man was a passenger in a car that collided with a second vehicle.

The 80-year-old female driver and occupant of a second car – a 27-year-old man and four-year-old girl – also needed hospital treatment. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact them.

Man Dies In Limerick Collision
A man has died in a crash in Co Limerick. The car veered off the road and hit a ditch at Dromsallagh at around 4.15am on Sunday, 05 June. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man is currently being treated for his injuries at the University Hospital Limerick. The road has been re-opened.

Gardaí Locate Body Of Karl O'Toole
Gardaí have located the body of 30-year-old Karl O'Toole. He has been missing from Enniscorthy, County Wexford since 23 May 2015. Garda confrimed that his body has been located. No further action is being taken.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 24-year-old man has been found "safe and well". Alex Sherwin had been reported missing on Sunday, with garda issuing a public appeal for assistance. No information on Mr Sherwin's whereabouts have been released, but garda said the investigation had now ended. They thanked the public for their help.

Three In Court Following Tipperary Attack
Three of the five men arrested in relation to the shooting and stabbing of two men in Tipperary yesterday are appearing in Roscrea District Court this Thursday morning. The other two men were released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions regarding their detentions.
