Council Agrees To Address 'Urban Fox Problem'

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has said that urban foxes are a "potential road safety hazard".

The council has passed a motion to "address the problem" following what was described as a "heated debate". It is understood that the council will make contact with the National Parks and Wildlife Service "to determine what has and will be done about the local fox population."

The motion was brought forward by Fine Gael's Barry Ward, who said that a large number of people are concerned about the issue.

Eircom Launch 4G Mobile Service
The first 4G service in Ireland is now live, but is currently only available in Dublin, Carlow and Athlone. Eircom have launched the service today, saying that it hoped to extend 4G coverage to other major urban centres between now and christmas. The new 4G service will be available through Meteor and eMobile.
