New Search Underway At Co Meath Bog

A provisional search has gotten underway at the rural bog in which the remains of Disappeared victim Brendan Megraw were found at the beginning of October.

Specialist forensic investigators have launched a new search for west Belfast monk Joe Lynsky, using radar equipment to scan sections of Oristown bog in Co Meath.

It is understood that new information has lead to Independent Commission for the Location of Victims Remains starting the new investigation at the site not far from where Mr Megraw was uncovered.

Joe Lynsky went missing in west Belfast in 1972. The IRA admitted in 2010 to abducting, murdering and secretly burying Mr Lynsky.
