Valuable Paintings Stolen In Co Wicklow

Three paintings, described as valuable, have been stolen from a house in Co Wicklow, it has been revealed.

The paintings were taken from a property in the Donard area last Wednesday evening (22 October).

By renowned Irish artists, the paintings are:



• Portrait of a Lady by Sir John Lavery, which measures approximately 65cm x 30cm

• Landscape with Cottage by Paul Henry, measuring approximately 40cm x 50cm

• The Fern in the Area by Jack B Yeats, which measures approximately 40cm x 50cm.



Gardaí have said investigations into the theft are ongoing.

No arrests have been made.

Witnesses Sought After Cars Rammed At Kiltake Service Station
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to an incident at Kiltake, Co Meath on Thursday, 15 September. At approximately 11.30am yesterday, officers with Operation Thor were on patrol in the Kiltale area when they observed a "target vehicle", a silver VW Golf with four males in the forecourt of a service station.

Man Arrested After Shots Fired At Property In Dublin
A man has been arrested after shots were fired at a property in Dublin on Friday morning. Three men are believed have targeted the house on Oranmore Road in Ballyfermot at approximately 10am. A firearm was also recovered from the scene of the attack. The man is being detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station.

Appeal Launched Over Dublin 'Serious' Assault
An appeal has been launched into a Dublin assault that left a man in his 30s needing treatment for serious head injuries. Gardai at Pearse Street, Dublin, are investigating the assault, which occurred at approximately 10pm on the night of Saturday 14 November, and they have called for the public's assistance into the case.
