Bricklayers End Tower Crane Occupation

Protestors have ended their occupation of a tower crane at a school contruction site in Kishogue in Dublin.

Eighteen bricklayers have been on strike since mid September in a dispute over pay. Earlier this week two of the bricklayers, Gary Gleeson and Luke Fitzpatrick, occupied a tower crane on the site, claiming that they are being paid too little and accusing contractor JJ Rhatigan of irregular subcontracting.

JJ Rhatigan has denied all accusations, and is currently pursuing a legal case to end the ongoing strike.
