DCC Reject Poolbeg Plan 52 To 2

The proposed Poolbeg incinerator project has been 'overwhelmingly' rejected by Dublin City Councillors, with 52 against and just two supporting the plan.

Councillors in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown also rejected the proposal, however, Fingal voted in favour.

A final decision on the proposed incinerator will be taken by the chief executives of four local authorities, which according reports are expected to approve the plan despite it being rejected by councillors.
