Gardai Appeal Over Blackrock Road Collision

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a traffic collision in Blackrock in County Dublin yesterday.

At about 13:40 a six-year-old boy pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a car on Cross Avenue, Blackrock.

He was taken by ambulance to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin and then removed to Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

The boy is continuing to receive treatment. The driver of the car was uninjured.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and motorists who were travelling on Cross Ave. between 13:30 and 13:40 yesterday afternoon to contact them.

Appeal Renewed For Missing 72-Year-Old
Gardaí at Blackrock, Co Dublin, have renewed their appeal for help in tracing 72-year-old Breda Delany. Breda was last seen at her home on Avondale Court, Blackrock, at approximately 3.30am on Saturday 11 July. She is described as being 5' 4" in height, of slight build with blonde/grey hair and blue eyes.

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information on a cache of weapons recovered in a search operation in Crossmaglen in October, 2023. The proactive search operation took place in the Monog Road area on 30 and 31 October 2023.

Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Co Limerick Accident
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal accident in Hospital, Co Limerick, in which a 44-year-old man was killed. The man was walking on Main Street in the town at about 2am on Tuesday morning when he was hit by a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It is understood no one else was injured in the incident.

Appeals Issued For Men Missing In Louth And Carlow
Gardaí in Co Louth have issued an appeal for help to trace missing 55-year-old Austin Speight. Austin has been missing from his home at Blackrock Village since Friday, 19 August. He was last seen driving his white Chrysler Voyager - reg No: YY 64 MWD on Friday. He is described as approximately 5'8'' in height and of stocky build.
