CAS Protesters Take To The Streets In Phil Hogan Masks
Protestors in Kilkenny City, who have been maintaining an ongoing campaign against the construction of a new bridge in the centre of the medieval city, have staged a new protest wearing Phil Hogan masks.
The dispute surrounds the Central Access Scheme (CAS), a multi-million euro project project that includes the construction of a new bridge over the River Nore.
Marching through the city protests called on the former minister for the environment to "stop the madness" and carrying signs reading "no upheaval, keep it medieval".

DCC Publish New Transport Study Proposals
A public consultation is to be launched tomorrow on Dublin City Council's (DCC) new transport study, which lays out a number of proposals to "enhance overall movement in the city". DCC said that traffic congestion in the city is "already rising" and morning-peak journeys are estimated to rise by more than 40,000 by 2023.

Gardaí Warn Of Ongoing Traffic Delays In Dublin City Centre
Dublin City Centre traffic is set for a series of significant delays and standstills throughout August 2017, Gardaí have reported. To facilitate crucial Luas Cross City construction work, traffic disruptions are expected on Dublin's North and South Quays, from 8 pm on Friday 04 August until 6am on Monday 14 August.

Ryaniar boss Michael O'Leary has criticised the Northern Ireland Government for its decision to refer a runway extension at Belfast City Airport to a public inquiry. Speaking today in Belfast, Mr O'Leary said up to 500 new jobs and more air routes to Europe were being jeopardised by the delay to the George Best extension.
