Appeal Issued For Missing Woman
An appeal has been issued for help in tracing 54-year-old Carmel Tynan, who has been missing since Sunday morning.
Ms Tynan was last seen at Patrick's Avenue, Portarlington, at about 10:30 on Sunday morning.
She is described as 5'5" tall, of slight build with short blonde hair and hazel coloured eyes.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Portlaoise Garda Station on 057-8674100, the Garda Confidential phone line on 1800-666111 or any garda station.

Murder Inquiry Follows Dublin Attack
A murder investigation has been launched after a 22-year-old man died in hospital as a result of an attack over the weekend. Gardaí in Clontarf, Dublin, have begun the now murder inquiry after Barry Walsh who was from Castleknock was chased and beaten in the early hours of Sunday morning at Marino Mart.

Man Arrested Over Dublin Body Find
A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Dublin last week. The body of Kevin Molloy was found at his home in Glendhu Road in Cabra, Dublin, on Sunday 01 February. Investigating garda said they believed Mr Molloy's body had laid undiscovered for some time.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a shooting in Dublin this morning. According to garda a man was shot just after 9am on Thursday morning on Clonard Street. The victim has been taken to hospital but no details of his condition have been released. The scene of the shooting has been sealed off pending a technical examination.

Marek Swider was fatally stabbed in a violent incident at a house on Dublin Street in Ballyjamesduff on Sunday, 31 December. The arrest was made in Cork city this morning, Thursday 04 January.
