Human Leg Found At Dublin Recycling Plant

An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a human leg at a Dublin recycling plant.

The limb was found by an employee at Thorntons Recycling Centre on the Killeen Road, Ballyfermot at about 23:40 on Thursday night.

The scene has been sealed off to allow for a forensic examination, which is due to take place today.

Blast At Dublin Recycling Plant
An explosion at a Dublin recycling plant left some 22 people hospitalised suffering from respiratory problems. The incident is believed to have been caused by a number of aerosol cans exploding after they were mistakenly placed in containers to be recycled.

Human Remains Found At Recycling Plant Confirmed As Male
Human remains found at a recycling plant in Dublin belonged to a man, Gardaí have confirmed. Staff at the Thornton's recycling centre on Killeen Road, Ballyfermot, found the lower part of a human leg on Friday and called gardaí. The upper part of a leg was then found on Saturday.

Emergency Services Tackle Fire At Bray Recycling Plant
Emergency services are tackling a large fire at a waste recycling plant in Bray, County Dublin, this morning, Monday 27 March. The fire in the Fassaroe area, is believed to have started in a stack of timber pallets at the recycling plant and has produced large plumes of thick smoke. It is understood the smoke is visible for several miles.

Dublin Recycling Plant Fire Still Burning
Dublin Fire Brigade are still fighting a fire at a recycling plant in Ballymount in Dublin. The fire, at Oxigen’s Ballymount Recycling Plant in Dublin 22, has been burning since Saturday morning, with a fire brigade spokesperson saying that it had not yet been brought under control. The situation has lead to major traffic disruption in the area.
