Woman Dies After Being Hit By Lorry

Gardaí in Dublin have confirmed the death of woman who was hit by an articulated lorry at Heuston Station on Thursday evening.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has been taken to the City Morgue.

No details of the woman's identity have been released.

An investigation into the circumstances of the woman's death is underway.

Woman Dies After Being Hit By HGV Lorry
An 80-year-old woman has died in Aughadrina, Castlebar, after being hit by a heavy goods vehicle on Wednesday afternoon. The as yet unidentified woman was taken to Mayo General Hospital with serious injuries, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Man Presents Himself To Gardaí Over Hanlon's Corner Hit-And-Run
A man has presented himself to gardaí in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident on 30 September, following an appeal. In the incident an 87-year-old man was knocked from his wheelchair after being hit by a white lorry, which then failed to stop. The man died a short time later of his injuries.

Woman Held Over Fatal Hit and Run
A woman in her 30s is being held by gardaí following a fatal hit and run collision in Galway. Gardai at Galway are investigating what is believed to be a fatal hit and run collision after the body of a man in his 60s was discovered at Drumgriffin, Corandulla, Co Galway at 8.50am on Sunday.
