Gardaí Appeal Over Fatal Road Crash In Cork

Gardaí have appealed for information about a road accident in Co Cork on Thursday in which an eight-year-old girl died.

A woman in her 30s, understood to be the child's mother, remains in a critical condition in hospital.

It is understood that the woman and child were passengers in a car involved in a two-car collision at Owenahincha Cross, Rosscarbery, Clonakilty.

The drivers of both cars are understood to have received only minor injuries.

Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Co Limerick Accident
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal accident in Hospital, Co Limerick, in which a 44-year-old man was killed. The man was walking on Main Street in the town at about 2am on Tuesday morning when he was hit by a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It is understood no one else was injured in the incident.
