Body Recovered From River Shannon

The body of a man has been recovered from the River Shannon.

The man, understood to be in his late 20s, got into difficulty in the water on Tuesday evening at an area known as Sandy, behind the grounds of the University of Limerick.

It is understood that the man was at the riverside with one of his horses.

The body was recovered after search teams from Limerick and Killaloe had resumed their search for the man early this morning.

The body of missing 19-year-old student Mark Casey has been recovered from the River Shannon at the Canal Bank area in Limerick. Members of the Limerick Search and Rescue team found the body of Mr Casey, who had been missing since 07 March.

Body Recovered By RNLI Off Cork Coast
The body of a man in his 60s has been recovered from the sea early this morning off west Cork following a major search co-ordinated by the Irish Coast Guard. The body was recovered by Castletownbere lifeboat at around 1.30am off Cod's Head between Allihies and Eyries on the Beara Peninsula.

Body Recovered From Dublin Canal
The body of a missing man, who had disappeared after a party, has been recovered from a canal in Dublin. Damian O'Brien, 37, who had been living in Phibsborough, Dublin, disappeared on November 27 after attending a party at a friend's house. A two-week search ensued after Mr O'Brien failed to return to work at Failte Ireland.
