Investigation Launched After Man Dies In Dublin Shooting

Gardaí in Dublin have appealed for information following the death of a 46-year-old man in a shooting on Thursday night.

The incident happened at around 22:30 at Abbeywood Court in Lucan. The victim was pronounced dead a short time later at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.

A post mortem examination is due to be carried out today.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone with information to contact Lucan Garda Station on 01 6667300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Appeal For Information On Shooting Incident In Longford
Gardaí have issued an appeal for information following an alleged shooting incident in Longford. A number of shots were reportedly fired at a house at Anally Gardens, Longford shortly before 9pm on Thursday 13 February. According to reports, three people were in the house at the time but there were no reports of any injuries.

Gardaí Appeal Over Dublin Shooting
Gardaí in Dublin have appealed for information following a shooting on Saturday afternoon. It is understood a man was shot as he left his house at Belcamp Grove at about 15:45 on Saturday. Gardaí have said the gunman was on a bicycle and is believed to have been wearing a hooded top.

Man Arrested After Heroin Seized During Vehicle Search
A man has been arrested after heroin was discovered during a vehicle search in Co Dublin. It is understood the drugs, worth an estimated value of €420,000, were seized by Garda at 4.30 during a search in Clondalkin yesterday, 10 December. The 35-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene and taken to Lucan Garda station. Enquiries are continuing.
