Galway University Hospital Cancel Surgery For Second Day

All non-urgent surgery has been cancelled at Galway University Hospital for the second day in a row.

The cancellations have been blamed on a "significant increase" in emergency patients, which has put extra pressure on services.

People have been advised to contact their GP or an out-of-hours doctor service before considering travelling to the hospital.
