Seven Arrested In Connection With Armed Home Raid

Gardaí in Co Tipperary have arrested seven men in connection with armed raid on a family home.

According to gardaí an armed gang broke into the Killenaule home of a businessman and his family at around 03:00 on Thursday morning.

The man was in the house at the time along with his wife and three children, all understood to be aged under eight.

Gardaí say that the man was assaulted in the incident, subsequently receiving hospital treatment.

The gang escaped the house with a quantity of money and jewellery and the family's 4x4 vehicle.

At around 04:30 am gardaí stopped a car near Naas, Co Kildare, arresting five men.

This was followed at 9am when a car was stopped by armed gardaí at Newlands Cross, Dublin, arresting two more men.

It is understood that a sum of money was recovered from the car.

Garda Granted More Time To Question Limerick MC Murder Suspects

A special sitting of Limerick District Court granted garda more time to question a 27-year-old man and two me aged in their 40s, arrested on Saturday in connection with the murder.

Gardaí Tackle Dublin Swordsman
Gardaí officers called to a 'domestic' incident in Dublin ended up tackling a man armed with not one, but two swords. He was eventually restrained and arrested after the row at his home. Officers were tasked to attend the incident at a flat complex in Dublin’s north inner city shortly before midnight and found the 38-year-old on the street.

Men Arrested Over Santry Cannabis Seizure
Cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized from a home in Larchill, Santry in Dublin, on Saturday. Gardaí arrested four men in connection with the find. They are due to appear in court on Monday.
