Journalist Seán MacConnell Dies Aged 66
Journalist and former Irish Times reporter Seán MacConnell has died aged 66.
It is understood that Mr MacConnell died suddenly at his Dublin home in the early hours of this morning.
Beginning his career at the Roscommon Herald, the award-winning journalist was best known for his reporting of farming issues for the Irish Times.

Journalist Ella Shanahan, has passed away in her County Waterford home. Ms Shanahan, 60, was the former London Editor of The Irish Times. She will also be remembered for her work in the RTÉ newsroom in the 1970s.

Man Released Over Journalist Murder
A man who was arrested over the murder of a Northern Irish journalist in Dublin at the weekend has been released. The man, thought to be in his twenties, left Pearse Street Garda Station last night. One other man remains in custody.
