Woman Treated In Hospital For Jellyfish Face Sting
A woman is being treated in hospital after she was stung in the face by a jellyfish while diving in Co Dublin.
The incident happened as five friends were diving in shallow water near Skerries on Sunday. Three of the group had returned to the shore when they realised the that remaining two divers where not with them.
Raising the alarm Dublin Coast Guard responded along with a search and rescue helicopter from Dublin airport.
One of the three divers on the shore spotted the two missing divers in the water and swam back out to assist them back to shore.
It was determined that one of the women had been stung in the face by a jellyfish and needed medical attention.
She was then airlifted to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

Scheduled to take place throughout April and May 2026, the project is designed to enhance public safety and preserve the tower as a high-quality amenity for the local swimming community.

Mother Could Face Child Neglect Charges
A mother from Dublin could face child neglect charges after leaving her two-year-old in a hot car for approximately 90 minutes. Gardai were called after shoppers seen the child in the car in Carrickmines. The car was surrounded by Gardai when the mother returned. The child was taken for a check-up before being returned to its mother.

Man Dies After Diving Expedition
A man has died following a diving expedition off the coast of Inisboffin, Co Galway. It is understood that a group of 12 people had been diving close to the East Harbour in Inishboffin and that the man, aged in his 40s, collapsed after resurfacing at about 14:30 on Monday.

Teenager Recused After Hitting Rocks While Cliff Diving
A 19-year-old woman is being treated at Castlebar Hospital after hitting rocks while cliff diving in Co Mayo. It is understood that the teenager and another 20-year-old woman, thought to be her sister, were diving at Old Head near Louisburgh when she hit rocks during a dive.
