Mother Could Face Child Neglect Charges

A mother from Dublin could face child neglect charges after leaving her two-year-old in a hot car for approximately 90 minutes.

Gardai were called after shoppers seen the child in the car in Carrickmines.

The car was surrounded by Gardai when the mother returned.

The child was taken for a check-up before being returned to its mother.

A file for the DPP is being prepared.

Garda Child Abuse Images Accused Trial Delayed For Five Weeks
A delay of five weeks has been allowed for the completion of a book of evidence in the case of a Garda officer charged with possession of child abuse images. 53-year-old Joe O'Connor is accused of possession of 655 images of child abuse. The accusation dates between 30 July and 02 August 2011. O'Connor is stationed at a city-centre garda station.

Dublin Man Charged With Making Child Pornography
A Dublin man arrested following an international investigation has appeared in court charged with making child pornography. A Gardai spokesman said the investigation had involved police forces in the North as well as other parts of the UK and the United States.

Gardaí Appeal For Help Tracing Missing Mother And Child
Gardaí have appealed for help in tracing 23-year-old Paige Holland and her one-week-old daughter, Nevaeh Goodier/Tighe. It is understood that Paige, also known as Abbie Goodier or Paige Goodier, and her daughter were last seen leaving their home at Westview, Cloonfad, Co. Roscommon on Friday, 15 January 2016.

CRI Alert Cancelled After Child And Mother Found
Gardaí have cancelled a Child Rescue Ireland (CRI) alert issued on Sunday evening after three-year-old Saoirse Carr was found safe and well. The CRI alert was raised following concerns for the whereabouts of Saoirse Carr, of Holburn Hill in Belturbet, Co Cavan. The toddler and her mother Rachel McDonald Carr have both been found safe and well.
