Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Motorcycle Crash
Gardaí are appealing for information following the death of a 45-year-old man killed in a motorcycle crash in Co Laois on Sunday.
It is understood that the man was riding a motorcycle that hit a crash barrier on the M7 at Knockaroo, Borris-in-Ossory, at about 06:40 on Sunday morning.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and a post-mortem is due to take place today at the Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise.
Any witnesses to the crash are asked to contact Portlaoise Garda Station on 057-8674100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111 or any garda station.

Gardaí in Co Louth have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road crash involving a motorcycle and a tractor. It is understood the motorcycle collided with a tractor at about 17:40 on Thursday on the Ballymakenny Road. A 39-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two gardaí motorcycle officers are being treated in hospital after being involved in a collision in Co Sligo. Garda have detained a man in connection with a fatal road crash in Co Mayo on Sunday, 08 May. A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with a van on the N26 at Ballinahaglush at around 3.45pm. A man was arrested and is being detained at Ballina Garda Station.
