Bomb Warning Phoned In To Dublin Airport

A bomb scare has been reported at Dublin Airport.

Part of the airport was evacuated on Thursday morning after Air Traffic Control received a warning that an explosive device had been left at Pier E.

It has been reported that a man with a Northern accent delivered the warning at around 01:30 on Thursday morning.

A major security operation was launched with airport police searching the area.

However, a search turned up nothing in the area of Pier E and the site was deemed safe.

Gardai and the Dublin Airport Authority will take over any further investigation into the incident.
