Man Charged Over Death Of Gerard Delaney

A man has appeared in court charged with the death of Gerard Delaney on St Stephen's Day in 2011.

19-year-old Dean Crinnion of Blackwater Grove, Togher in Cork, was also charged with affray and with producing a knife during a fight.

Mr Delaney died from multiple stab wounds and injuries to his head.

Mr Delaney, 51, was attacked after a row escalated between two faimilies on Cork.

Crinnion has been remanded in custody.

Two Arrested Over Gerard Delaney Death
Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of Gerard Delaney in December. Gardaí in Togher investigating the death of Mr Delaney said on Monday they have arrested two men in their late teens and early twenties. They were arrested in the Togher area and are currently detained at Togher Garda Station under the Criminal Justice Act.

Two Men Arrested In Relation To Murder Of Gerard Delaney
Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of Gerard Delaney in Cork last December. Mr Delaney, 51, died after an argument outside a pub in Ballyphehane on 27th December 2011. Both men arrested are believed to be in their 40s.

29-Year-Old Pleads Guilty To Sligo Murder
A man has pleaded guilty to the murder of Sligo man Eugene Gillespie. 29-year-old Simon McGinley, who handed himself in at Sligo Garda station on Friday night, appeared before a special sitting of Carrick-on- Shannon District Court yesterday and was remanded in custody until next Friday.

Man Arrested Over €400,000 Cannabis Find
Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.
