Two Released Without Charge In Kerins Murder Investigation

Two men arrested in connection with the murder of former garda detective, John Kerins, have been released without charge.

The two men, both in their 30s, were arrested on Monday by garda investigating Mr Kerins death last November.

Meanwhile, garda have also ended their search of Mr Kerins back garden, which was excavated as part of an investigation in the disappearance of Mr Kerins neighbour two years ago.

Kerins had previously been question about the disappearance of Gerard Daly.

Man Arrested In Connection With Murder Of Michael Devoy Released
A man arrested in connection with the murder of Michael Devoy has been released without charge. The body of the 41-year-old, from Ballymun in Dublin, was found at Foxhill on 18 January 2014. A man in his 20s was being questioned by officers at Tallaght Garda Station. He has since been released. A file is being prepared for the DPP.

Search Continues In Murdered Ex-Garda's Back Yard
A search of the home and garden of a murdered former detective garda has entered its second day. Excavation work began on Tuesday morning of the back patio area, garda believe another body may be buried under it.

Woman Released Without Charge Over Donegal Murder
A woman arrested in connection with the murder of Seamus Donnelly has been released without charge. Mr Doherty was killed at his home in Drumacanoo on 17 June 2012. The woman, 57, was released this morning. A man, 51, who was arrested on Wednesday is still being questioned by garda.

Two Arrested Following Supermarket Raid
Two men have been arrested following a raid at a supermarket in the Clarehall area in Dublin last night. At around 10.30pm, two men armed with a knife entered the premises on the Malahide Road and threatened two members of staff, before tying them up and attacking them. The pair then left the scene with a sum of cash.
