Garda Pleads Guilty To Engaging In Sex Acts With Teen Boy
A garda has pleaded guilty to two counts of engaging in sex acts with a teenage boy at the Circuit Criminal Crown Court in Cork.
Damien Jermyn, 29, who is a garda based in Killarney, has been remanded on bail after he pleaded guilty to the two chafes of defilement, on two separate dates in 2011.
He will be sentenced in November.

A Garda sergeant has denied allegations that he sexually assaulted two of his female colleagues while he was on duty last year. Making his second appearance in Dublin District Court the sergeant in his 40s faced three charges of sexual assault, alleged to have occurred between March and June 2010.

A former soap actor has admitted to having sex with a 14-year-old boy and will be sentenced next week. Ex-Fair City actor, Patrick Dunleavy, 42, pleaded guilty yesterday at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to engaging in a sexual act with the boy in January 2007.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been on remand at Castlerea Prison since October last year. The two girls, aged six and nine, went missing after attending a birthday party.

A 37-year-old Cork man has pleaded guilty to shooting a protected red deer stag and cutting it in half. Gardaí confirmed that Richard Cullinane, of Lisnacon, Kanturk, Co Cork, was traced after took the front half of the animal to a taxidermist as he wanted it monuted as a hunting trophy.
