Irish Actor Milo O'Shea Dies

Irish actor, Mila O'Shea, has died in New York after a short illness at the age of 86.

Early success on stage in Dublin followed him to the UK where he starred in Glory Be! at the Theatre Royal, Stratford East.

He played Mr Durand Durand in the film Barbella and reprised his role for the concert film Arena.

He appeared in US television series Cheers, Frasier, The Golden Girls, St Elsewhere and The West Wing.

He also starred in the BBC comedy Me Mammy.

O'Shea was born in Dublin on 2nd June 1926.
