Arrests Made Over Suspect Devices Found In Cork

Two men and a woman have been arrested in connection with the discovery of a number of suspect devices found in Cork city last year.

A man and a woman in their 30s were detained in Kells, Co Meath on Tuesday, while another man in his 20s was arrested in Mallow, Co Cork.

One of the devices was found under a car at Mervue Lawn in Ballyvolane on 11 March last year.

Up to 100 houses had to be evacuated at the time.

Translink Workers Reject Pay Offer
Translink NI workers have rejected a pay offer from the public transport company. Unite, GMB and SIPTU confirmed that their members has "decisively voted to reject as inadequate" a pay offer made by Translink management. Workers were offered a 5% pay increase and a non-consolidated one-off payment of £1,500 for the 2023-2024 financial year.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Man's Body Found In Whitechurch, Co Cork
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man's body in Whitechurch, Co Cork. The discovery was made on a farm in Rahaniskey shortly before 17:00 on Thursday, 28 January.

Bodies Of A Man And His Daughter Found On Co Cork Beach
The bodies of a man and his three-year-old daughter have been found on a beach n west Cork. Gardai received a call from a farm at Foilnamuck, Ballydehob, just before midnight. A major search operation was launched and the bodies were recovered after a three-hour search.

PSNI Investigating Fatal Collision Near Bready, Co Tyrone
An investigation has been launched following a fatal road traffic collision near Bready, Co Tyrone. At around 1.40pm on Sunday, 07 April, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on the Victoria Road. When police arrived it was discovered that a white Seat Leon had left the carriageway close to the junction with Grangefoyle Road.
