Unions Urged To Return To Croke Park Talks

Unions who have withdrawn from the Croke Park Agreements talks are being urge to return by the Taoiseach.

Addressing the Dáil, Edna Kenny said everyone who has a concern about proposals should "get back in there where the discussion actually takes place around the table".

Mr Kenny was responding to Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin, who said there was growing concern that an undue burden was being placed on emergency staff, adding that morale in the Garda Síochána was very low and could be reaching a "tipping point".

Kenny stressed that the Croke Park talks were ongoing, and nobody could say what the final result would be.
