Teenage Boy Fatally Injured On Farm In Cork

A investigation is underway following the death of a teenage boy on a farm in Cork yesterday.

The incident occurred at around 18.30 at Church Cross, near Skibereen.

The 15-year-old boy was fatally injured when he became trapped between a digger and another piece of equipment.

Gardai and the Health and Safety Authority are currently carrying out a full investigation.

A post mortem is to be carried out later today.

Young Boy Dies In Farm Accident In Co Cork
Garda in Cork have reported the death of an 18-month-old boy in a farm accident. According to reports the boy is understood to have been struck by a tractor on the farm near the village of Killeagh, in east Cork. The accident happened at about midday, garda say. The death is being treated as a tragic accident.

Anthony Ward Died From Asphyxia
Preliminary results of a post mortem examination on the body of eight-year-old Anthony Ward revealed he died from asphyxia. He was found dead in the bedroom of his home at Harrison Place in Charleville, Cork, yesterday morning. Gardai do not believe he died of natural causes and are continuing their examination of the house where he was found.

Missing Five-Year-Old Boy Found 'Safe And Well'
A young boy missing from Dun Laoghaire has been found "safe and well", Gardaí have reported. Richard Roche, aged 5, went missing from the People's Park on Sunday, 02 July. However, he has now been found and Gardaí wish to express their thanks to all members of the public and media for their assistance.

A 14-year-old boy reported missing on Wednesday has been found "safe and well. Garda issued an appeal for help in tracing Dillon O'Neill, who had not been seen since just before 18:00 on Wednesday, 07 September.

Child Critical Following Cork Hotel Pool Incident
A 4-year-old boy remains in a critical condition following an incident at a hotel swimming pool in Cork on Monday. According to reports emergency services were called to the Quality Hotel in Redbarn, Youghal at about 14:00.
