Man Charged In Connection With Stabbing Teen

A man has appeared in court charged in relation to the stabbing of a 16-year-old in Drogheda, Co Louth, on Wednesday.

Jamie Gallagher, 21, faces two charges, assault causing harm and producing a knife.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Cloverhill District Court next Thursday.

The teenager is in a serious condition in Our Lady of Lourdes hospital.

Man Released Over Thurles Murder
A 34-year-old man arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of Renars Tuleiko in Thurles earlier this year has been released without charge. The man was arrested on Thursday morning and was questioned at Thurles garda station before being released. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Man Charged Over Fatal Stabbing
A man has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing in Dublin last Tuesday. Andrew Gibney, 20, appeared in court charged with assaulting Gerard Burnett, 28, and causing him serious harm at his house in Castlecurragh Vale. The victim later died in Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown from his injuries.

Man Due In Court Over Clonmel Death
A 28-year-old man is due to appear before a special sitting of Clonmel District Court, charged in connection with the death of a 45-year-old man whose body was found in a house in the town at the weekend. The man's body was found in an upstairs bedroom of a house in the Carrigeen estate shortly after 2:30am on Sunday.

Man In Court Over McGrath Stabbing
A man has appeared in court charged in connection with the stabbing of Anthony McGrath. Mr McGrath, 23, of Whitestown Walk in Clonsilla in Dublin was stabbed to death at his home on October 29 last year. Derek McGrath, 35, of Fortlawn Park, Mountview, Blanchardstown appeared before Dublin District Court on Wednesday, charged with the murder.
