Mother Appeals For Help Finding Missing Son
The mother of a Dublin man missing since Christmas Day has appealed for the help of the public in finding him.
24-year-old Paul Byrne was last seen near his home in Rush in north Co Dublin at around 3am on 25 December.
His mother, Mary Byrne, said it was a "mystery" what had happened to Paul, adding that somebody must know something about his disappearance.
She said he had not sat down for Christmas dinner and she wanted him home.
Ms Byrne said her son had spent Christmas Eve at his girlfriend's father's house before returning home at around 1am.
He was last seen on Sandy Lane, where he lived with a flatmate, at approximately 3am.

A jury today heard a 999 phone call made by the late Paul Byrne, crying for help as his wife stabbed him to death. The engineer, 48, told the operator, "My wife is stabbing me", "She is trying to kill me". Mr Byrne was stabbed over 60 times by Tanya Doyle at their home in Pairc Gleann Trasna, Aylesbury, on 4th September 2009.

50 Full Time Jobs To Be Created At Co Kildare Estate
Fifty full-time jobs are to be created at Palmerstown House and Estate in Co Kildare over the next 12 months. The jobs are to be in the hospitality and leisure sector. An additional 50 part time jobs will also be created over the coming Christmas period. The estate was recently acquired by the Corner Group from the National Asset Management Agency.

Lenihan Admitted To Hospital
Irish Finance Minister Brian Lenihan has admitted himself to hospital complaining of losing sleep and experiencing discomfort with a suspected hernia. The minister was scheduled for admittance into the Mater Private Hospital later this week for an operation but went in early yesterday instead.
