Male Arrested In Connection With Fatal Stabbing

A fourth male has been arrested in relation to a fatal stabbing in Rialto on 1st December.

The male, in his teens, was arrested yesterday evening.

He is currently being detained at Pearse Street Garda Station under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939.

Thomas Heinrich, 22, from Munich, was studying international media in Dublin.

He was on the balcony of his first floor apartment with his German friend when words were exchanged with two teenagers walking on the street below.

An altercation broke out and Mr Heinrich sustained serious stab wounds to the stomach, and his friend was stabbed at least five times.

Mr Heinrich later died in hospital.

The second man remains in a critical condition.

Three people detained in relation to this incident were released without charge last night. A file will now be prepared for the information of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Man Arrested Following Stabbing Incident
A man has taken to hospital after being stabbed in Co Wexford. The male, 34, was stabbed at a house on Grange Road at around 9.30pm on Thursday night. His condition is described as serious but stable. Gardai have arrested a 60-year-old man. He is currently being detained at New Ross Garda station.

Man Arrested Following Fatal Stabbing
A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Dublin on Monday. Shane O'Connor was found on the street in Donaghmede at around 7am. He later died in hospital. A man is his 20s is being held at Coolock garda station.

Two Adults Arrested Over Aidan O'Kane Shooting
Gardaí have made further arrests as part of their investigation into the shooting of Aidan O'Kane on Sunday night. Gardaí have made a total of three arrests this morning, with a 32-year-old female, a 33-year-old male, and another male aged 18.

Woman's Body Found In Dublin
The body of an elderly woman has been found in Dublin. The woman, aged 79, was found by a relative in the house at Ladycove, Rush, Co Dublin shortly after 7pm. Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery and the body remains at the scene and will be examined shortly by the State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy.
