Body Discovered At House In Waterford

Gardaí have launched an investigation after a man's body was found at a house in Waterford last night.

The remains of the 30-year-old were discovered at the house in Bishopsfield, Williamstown at about 10pm.

A Garda spokesman said the scene had been preserved, and the body remains at scene awaiting the arrival of the State pathologist.

No further details have yet been released.

Meanwhile, Gardaí in Dublin are investigating after a man's body was recovered from the Grand Canal at Upper Baggot Street.

The body was found around 7am and was removed from the canal but remains at the scene, a Garda spokesman said.

The Garda Technical Bureau is also present.
