Man Faces Manslaughter Charge Over Death Of Dublin Taxi Driver

A 25-year-old man has been charged with the manslaughter of a Nigerian taxi driver in Dublin last year.

William Keegan, of Pearse House, in Dublin 2, was charged this afternoon at Pearse Street Garda station with unlawfully killing 41-year-old Moses Ayanwole following a row at Pearse Street, on 21 November last year.

He was remanded on bail to appear at Cloverhill District Court on 26 June.

Mr Ayanwole, who had been living in Ireland for 15 years, had been working in the city centre when he sustained head injuries during a row with Mr Keegan.

He fell into a coma after being taken to St James's Hospital and died two days later.

Stephen Sherlock was reported missing from the Pearse Street area of Dublin on Tuesday, 08 September. Garda were concerned for his welfare. Ten days after the appeal, garda said Mr Sherlock has been found.

€140,000 Worth Of Cocaine Seized In West Dublin
Gardaí have seized cocaine worth €140,000 at premises in Ronanstown in west Dublin. The discovery was made during a raid at around 7pm on Wednesday. A woman was arrested at the scene however she has since been released without charge. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Woman And Child Hit By Car While Walking On Dublin Street
A woman has been killed after being hit by a car as she pushed a pram along a Dublin street. Gardaí have reported that the woman in her 30s was killed and a child injured when they were hit by a car on the main Dublin Road into Balbriggan. The child is being treated at Temple Street Children's Hospital.
