Girl In Serious Condition After Sand Dune Collapse

A 19-year-old girl remains in a serious condition in hospital after a sand dune collapsed on her yesterday afternoon in west Kerry.

The accident happened on the back beach of the Maherees.

Gardaí said the girl, who is from Cork, was with a group of pals on the beach when the incident happened.

She is currently being treated in Kerry General Hospital.

Gardaí have appealed for information on a fatal road traffic accident near Mullingar, Co Westmeath on Saturday morning. Children Die In Longford Crash Tragedy
Two young girls have been killed in a road crash on the outskirts of Edgeworthstown in Co Longford. The collision happened around 9.30pm on Monday night. The girls, aged nine and six, were travelling in a black BMW that crashed into an embankment on the old N4 at Camlisk.

Teenage Girl Missing From Dublin
Gardaí have appealed for help locating a teenage girl missing from her Dublin home. 17-year-old Donna Maughan is missing from the Blanchardstown area. She is approximately 5'5", of slim build with blonde hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Gardaí on 01 6667000.

Missing 16-Year-Old Found 'Safe And Well'
A 16-year-old girl missing from Coolock has been found "safe and well", garda have reported. Gardaí in Mountjoy had issued an appeal for help in tracing Jadine Dunne, who had not been seen since the early hours of Monday, 26 October. Garda thanked the public for their assistance in their search. No further action is needed.
