Two Men Detained Following Death Of Irish Student

Two American men are being held following the death of Irish exchange student Nicola Furlong from Co Wexford.

The 21 year old was killed after she returned home from a concert by rapper Nicki Minaj on Wednesday night.

Her family said they are "devastated by the loss of their beautiful daughter and sister."

Multiple Road Death Tragedies
There have three more tragic road deaths in the Irish Republic. A man died following a motorcycle accident in Co Louth. According to Gardaí, the 27-year-old was fatally injured when his motorcycle left the road at Ballybarrack, Knockbridge Road, Dundalk, shortly after 9pm last night.

100 Irish People Caught In Nepal Earthquake
Up to 100 Irish people are believed to have been caught up in the Nepal earthquake. The death toll following the earthquake is past 3,200 and continuing to rise. Up to 3,000 Nepalese natives currently living in Ireland are seeking permission from the government to raise money to aid the relief effort.

Irish Student In 'Very Serious' Condition Following Swim
An Irish student's condition is "very serious" following a recent morning swim in the United States. The J-1 student, believed to be aged 22, suffered what looked like a cardiac arrest while swimming with three other people at a beach in the Northern Division Street area of Ocean City, Maryland, on Wednesay, 02 August, at around 6.30am.

Missing Irish Student Found Safe In Poland
An Irish student who has been missing since Wednesday has been found. Aidan Lynch, 20, from Rochestown in Co Cork was found this morning. He had been on holidays in Krakow, Poland, with a group of nine people at the time. The alert was raised after Aidan did not make the flight home.
