Garda Attacked By Five PitBull Terriers
A garda officer has undergone surgery after five pitbull terriers attacked him outside a house in Ballymacarbry, on Monday night.
An investigation was launched last night into the incident which left 50-year-old Donal Foley, a former Tipperary footballer, with wounds to his hands, legs and lower body.
Garda Foley was calling at the house on the Tipperary-Waterford border when a pack of dogs came around a corner and attacked him.
He was taken to South Tipperary general hospital in Clonmel where he had surgery for some of his injuries on Tuesday.
Gda Foley, who is a prominent member of Moyle Rovers GAA club, has been stationed in the area for the past 25 years.

Appeal Issued For Missing Tipperary Man
Gardaí have appealed for help in tracing missing Tipperary man John Esmonde. The 38-year-old has been missing since around 22:00 on Wednesday 11 March. When last seen he was wearing a dark jacket, blue denim trousers and a black woollen hat. He is believed to have been carrying a brown shopping bag.

Garda Injured In Cork
A garda has been injured while on duty in Cork on Monday night. The sergeant has been treated in hospital but has been discharged. He was bringing a patient, aged in his 20s, to the Mercy University Hospital just after 6pm. The garda is based at Gurranabraher Garda Station.

Woman Arrested In Connection With Bobby Ryan Murder
A woman has been arrested in connection with the murder of Bobby Ryan. Mr Ryan's body was discovered at Fawnagowan in County Tipperary on 30 April last year. The 45-year-old is being detained at Tipperary town Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Man Stabbed To Death In Tipperary
A man has died from knife wounds after an incident in a villiage in Tipperary last night. The male victim, who was in his late 20's, was fatally stabbed in the street outside his house following an altercation. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It is understood the victim man was Irish and was from the area.
