A man is his 20’s has been charged with a break-in at Minister for Justice Alan Shatter’s home over the weekend.

The home of the minister, who is currently in Australia, was broken into on Sunday night around 11:30 and the man was arrested a short time later close to the residence in South Dublin.

He was charged with burglary on Monday night and will appear in Dun Laoghaire District Court later today.

A second man arrested on Sunday is still being question by gardai.
