Man Charged In McNamara Murder Case

A 23-year old man has been charged with the murder of Melanie McNamara on 7th February.

Keith Hall, with an address at Kilmartin Drive, has been remanded in custody for a week.

The 16-year-old sustained fatal injuries when a shot was fired from a passing vehicle into the parked car that she was a passenger.

Gardaí believe she was not the intended target of the attack and are continuing with their investigations.

Teenager Killed In Co Tipperary Road Crash
Gardaí in Co Tipperary have reported the death of a 19-year-old man in a road accident. According to gardaí the man, whose name has not been released, was killed in a single vehicle collision on the Fethard/Killenaule road after 8am. There was nobody else in the car at the time. An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.

An Irishman living in Australia has been charged with the murder of an Irish construction worker in Perth. Vincent Martin Crowe appeared in court over the death of Wexford man Kenny Meyler, who died after being stabbed in the neck in February. The incident happened in the Perth suburb of Scarborough.

Man Dies In Single-Vehicle Crash
A man has been killed in a collision in Galway. The car crash happened at around 2.45am this morning on the Headford to Galway Road. The 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A man arrested minutes after Kelly’s murder outside his home in Killester, north Dublin, on Tuesday was still being questioned on Wednesday night.

Limerick Man Dies After Assault In Home
A 48-year-old man has died as a result of serious injuries he received in his own home after a serious assault. Gardaí have launched a murder investigation into the attack during which, Limerick man Joe O'Donnell, 48, of Hyde Road, suffered serious head wounds in the early hours of Friday morning.
