Man Remanded Over Serious Assault

A man has been remanded in custody after he was charged with a serious assault on a woman in Rialto, Dublin.

28-year-old Nicola Murray is fighting for her life and has been left in a coma following an attack at her home on Ruben Walk.

The mother of three sustained serious head injuries during the incident and is currently at Beaumont Hospital.

Paul McMenamy, 26, of Donomore Green is accused of causing harm to Ms Murray on 5th February.

Man Dies In Tipperary Collision
A man, aged in his 70s, has died in a collision in Tipperary. He was killed after the car he was driving collided with another car in Borrisokane on Sunday, 05 June, at around 5.15pm. The woman in the other car sustained serious injuries and is currently being treated at Limerick University Hospital.

Investigation Launched Following Suspicious Fire In Co Offaly
Gardai have launched an investigation following a suspicious fire at a house in Rhode, Co. Offaly on Monday. The incident occurred between 11.30pm on Sunday and 1.50am on Monday. A 24-year-old man sustained serious injuries and has been transferred to St James Hospital where his condition is described as critical.

Man Remanded In Custody Over Serious Assault
A teenager has been remanded in custody after appearing in court in connection with a serious assault on a man in Tuam on Sunday. 18-year-old Shane Byrne, of no fixed address, was charged with assault causing harm on Shane Grogan, 22, at Fairgreen. He is due to appear before Harristown Court on Friday.
