Serious Assault On Woman In Rialto
A woman has been seriously assaulted in the Rialto area of Dublin in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Gardai at Kilmainham said they are investigating the circumstances of the assault, during which a 28-year-old woman sustained serious head injuries at a house on Ruben Walk.
She is currently receiving treatment at Beaumont Hospital.
A man aged in his 20s was arrested yesterday evening by investigating Gardai and is detained at Kevin St. Garda Station under the Criminal Justice Act.
The scene remains preserved for a technical examination.

Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car In Dublin
An elderly woman who was hit by a car in Dublin has died in hospital. The incident occurred on the Navan Road at around 8.15am on Sunday, 04 September. The driver of the car was arrested and taken to Finglas Garda Station. He has been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Garda in Cavan have arrested two men and a woman in connection with a suspected assault on a 55-year-old man in the early hours of Tuesday morning. According to garda the victim was found at about 03:00 at the Stonebridge apartments suffering serious injuries. Two men and woman were subsequently arrested in connection with the suspected assault.
